Ukraine–Russia Tensions Surge After Civilian Deaths in Kyiv Attack
The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, promised to seek vengeance against Russia for bombing the residential area in Kyiv where 24 persons died, including three innocent children. This happened after only hours of concluding a ceasefire deal of 72 hours arranged by the US. The President of the US, Donald Trump, said he was concerned about the effect these attacks would have on future diplomatic talks. On the other hand, whereas Russia says that no civilians died, President Zelenskyy considers bombing the oil and ammunition plants of Russia to be justified.
